This complete NEW 5.7L GENUINE MerCruiser MAG MPI engine package is designed to work with all MerCruiser ALPHA ONE outdrives and replaces 1980 and later MerCruiser 5.0L and 5.7L sterndrive engine applications. This package and 100% of the components are brand new.This new 5.7L engine is rated by MerCruiser at 300hp at the propeller (325hp at the crankshaft). If you have an existing 5.0L or 5.7L MerCruiser Alpha One outdrive, this package will work in your boat. This 5.7L MPI engine includes a 4th generation ECM 555 controller that prevents the engine from overheating, provides 15%-25% better gas mileage, a built-in engine rev limiter, added horsepower, and torque over the 5.7L carbureted version. No modifications need to be made to your existing MerCruiser Alpha One outdrive. Also includes a returnless single fuel line hook-up for easy installation. This complete 5.7L engine is run, properly timed, and tested before shipment.

Note:
With a MerCruiser Alpha One Generation One outdrive (pre-1991), this engine requires a seawater pump kit 46-8M0139983 & serpentine belt 57-865615Q03 for proper cooling.
